Minutes of the Annual General Meeting of the Foxbridge Golf Society 2024 for 2025 season
Here is the outcome of the meeting held on the 29th September 2024
1 Treasures report

3.1 Subs -
No subs to be paid in 2024
3.2 Event payment
Paid via bank transfer a week before the event, apart from the overnight event which will be as & when Clive says
4 Number of events -
We are going to play 6 events next season, starting in April till September.
The events will be 5 full days on the last Friday of the month
25th April 2025
30th May 2025
27th June 2025
25th July 2025
29th August 2025
& 1 Sunday driver event played on the last Sunday in September
28th September 2025 (overnight stay)
From 2026 the overnight stay will be the last Sunday in June & the last event in September will include a meal after the golf to include the AGM
5 Handicaps –
Limit maximum handicap now up to 36
Lower limit stays at 0
Anybody new will play off their club handicap, if they don’t have a club handicap the sponsor will decide what handicap they play off
Lowest handicapper, after the leaderboard adjustments, with a club handicap will have the chance to re-
Do they want to do re set the handicaps if so how many strokes are given back, this is to be reviewed on an annual basis
Tony B declined to make the adjustment
Leaderboard adjustments for the top 4 stay the same & the bottom 3 (who have played in at least 4 events will get shots back 3 for last, 2 next to last & 1 for 3rd bottom
6 Prizes & trophy's
Prize money will be sorted by the day prize organizer
Five pounds was agreed as the usual event fee for 27 holes
Club to add a tenner to prize pot.
Plus £1 for the 2’s over and above the £5
The 2’s club would roll over but if not won it will go into that events prize money

7 Courses -
Clive have a free hand to pick what they want. If you have any suggestion please let Clive know but do not take offence if your suggestion are ignored.
Other suggestions were: Woodsome Hall, Shipley, the KP at Pollington, Waterton Park, Wheatly, East coast, Hessle, Forest pines, Scarthingwell, Rudding Park, Phoenix, Rufford Park, Hickleton, The Oaks, Thryberg & Cleckheaton, Pike Hills, Holme Hall, Hollins Hall, Bingley St.Ives, Breadsall Priory, Belton Woods, Normanton and Pontefract.
Suggested limit for Sunday driver is £150
8 Draw & type of play
Stableford is the choice of play
Morning game will be picked by the winner of the last event, if they are not there then it will be picked by the second placed from the last event & so on
9 Guests
Any guest this season will pay the same price & added into all prize pots & will become part of the leader board as per last season
10 Last event
In reverse leader board order would be the way again.
If the players are tied on the leader board it will be decided by the count back on leaderboard is best finish if all 4 are the same then the 5th finish then 6th finish, If that is even then the best finish in the last event then the 5th and so on.
11 Any other business
Look at the cost of getting new shirts, club maybe to help out with the cost of them, Marc to get some costings
Votes over the nearest pins & longest drives, in the end after a lot of debate it stayed the same
Last is a note on slow play
We need to keep an eye on slow play as this is something all clubs are keen on. If we feel we are not keeping up with the game in front or holding up the game behind it is up to all the group to speed up. Please encourage the group to speed up.
